Photographing joy, freedom, and play in nature

I am a breaker of norms, a seeker of childlike joy, and a chaser of light. I go to the mountains, the woods, the sea, and I find myself, I embrace a life of play.

Why self portrait photography?

Because it’s like a form of therapy for me. Through self portraiture I’ve deepened my love of nature and appreciation for my body. I’ve learned how to find peace, explore independently, and shrug off judgment. I’ve strengthened my creativity. And I want to help you find these things, too.

What Makes me Unique?

I have been a self portrait photographer for 16 years. Throughout that time I have evolved and grown, and so has my art. I’ve experimented, failed, doubted myself, learned from my mistakes, and started over. I have been on a similar journey in my personal life. After years of struggling with my body image and relationship with food, I became an anti-diet, weight-inclusive registered dietitian. I currently run my own practice, where I help individuals heal from disordered eating, challenge their internalized fatphobia, and recognize their worth as humans. All bodies are worthy of love and respect. With my self portrait workshops, retreats, and client photoshoots, I hope to help create safe spaces where my values as a dietitian can merge with my love of art to create real, meaningful change in the world.
