Title: Among the Lupines (Spring 2024)

Location: Evans Creek Preserve (Washington, USA)

About: This image, one of my favorites from my Seasons project, was over a year in the making. This lupine field turned out to be quite elusive and required much research and exploration to locate. When I finally found it in the Spring of 2024, I was lucky enough to have done so on a magical, foggy morning, perfect for creating this whimsical self portrait.

It truly did feel like the universe intervened to allow me to create this image. Not only was it a perfect foggy morning, but lupines are my favorite flower – and purple is my favorite color. I felt a sense of euphoria, mixed with contentment, while creating this image.
